Andrea has recently joined UCA as a Technical Tutor in Photography

Bio

Andrea Scaringella, Scari, was born in Milan, Italy. In 2001 he moved to London where he is now based, working as a freelance photographer/videographer, photography technician/technical tutor and as a photography workshop leader.

Between 2003 to 2011, he travelled around Eastern Europe and Africa as a freelance photo-reporter covering social, environmental and geopolitical issues.

For the past 8 years, Andrea’s career has focussed on education and academic practice as a photography workshop leader, photography lecturer and photography technician/technical tutor.

Andrea has collaborated with various NGOs and Charities such as Platform, Friends of the Earth, Stepping Stones Nigeria and the Kyian Price Foundation.

His work has been published in various British and international publication such as the New Statesman, Geographical Magazine, Sunday Times magazine and he has exhibited in solo and group shows in the Hackney Museum, The Museum of London and The Design Museum.

He is still linked with the photo industries supporting, collaborating, and creating images.
